I started a blog...

Never thought I'd do this again after leaving LiveJournal, but why not?

Facebook and Twitter have pretty much turned us all into bloggers of easy to digest snippets.

Facebook has taught us it's perfectly acceptable to share random snippets of our lives because, people care.  From your old high school classmates all the way to your mother in-law, as long as it's easy to find, and an easily digestible snippet of information; they care what you ate, where you went and who you were with when you did it.

Now, that may sound a little cynical, but be assured that's not my intention.  I really do appreciate that thanks to sites like Yelp and Facebook I get to try new restaurants, find cool shops, get good deals and also find a good doctor.  With the addition of Pinterest, and the ability to publish across multiple social sites, I also get to find out that I have a lot more in common with old classmates and family than one might guess at first glance.

Newsflash, what I think is cool on the internet--others do too.  So now we get to save some time, and ease up on the inbox clutter and share our interests in new fun ways--new and improved and now with pictures!

Why would I need to blog then?

Well, sometimes I have more to say than what will fit in my status update, and I want to post more than a picture or two, and I hope there are those that are willing to spend more than a second or five to read about my interests and happenings.
